The JH Lions traveled to Pirate country to take on Center Point. Due to Center Point not having enough kids to field two JH teams, the Lions combined both grade levels to play against the Pirates. The Lions won the game on both the number of athletes as well as the scoreboard at the end of the night. The game started slow the Lions on offense as their first 2 drives stalled, but Christian Villarreal quickly got the scoring rolling as he broke for 3 long touchdown runs before half. With only 9 seconds left in the first half, Trey Preddy connected with Tino Valentino four a 65 yard touchdown, which put the Lions up 30-14 going into the half. In the second half, the Lions were able to have a long time consuming drive that was capped off by a Rielee Barrera run. Another touchdown added on by Nolan Martinez catapulted the Lions to a 44-14 victory. Defensively, the Lions flew to the ball and shut down a really hard offense to stop.
