Coach Matt Gutierrez is the Lady Lion's basketball and track coach. In addition, Coach G teaches geometry and algebra II at Ozona High School. Prior to Ozona, Coach G was a member of the teacher/coaching community at San Angelo Central, Snyder, and Fort Stockton.
Coach G graduated high school from Ozona High. He was a member of the Lion football team as a linebacker and fullback. He also ran the 100 and 300 hurdles for the Lion track team. He attended Texas A&M university and Angelo State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology and math. His favorite class in college was archery.
He is married to Vanessa and together they have three children: Bryce, Braeden, and Brylie.
His favorite things to do in his spare time include: camping, fishing, and hunting.
