TALAMANTEZ FOURTH AT CRANE

The OHS Cross-Country Teams competed at the Crane Invitational Saturday in Crane. The Lions placed fifth out of 13 teams. Humberto Torralba finished 12th with a time of 18 minutes, 28.75 seconds. Manuel Torralba was 13th with 18:29.37. Also running: 43. Adam Hopper, 19:59.55; 44. Bryce Gray, 20:00.55; 51. Jason Lopez, 20:31.52; 54. Camron Perez, 20:36.78; 63. Daniel Hernandez, 20:51.81. In the JV Division, Julian Dominguez was 19th at 21:45.71 and Melvyn Mejia was 21st at 21:52.72. The Lady Lions placed eighth out of 14 teams. Kenzee Talamantez was fourth at 12:53.93. Also running: 33. Ysabella Flores, 14:28.27; 43. Krysten Webb, 14:58.46; 72. Charli Oglesby, 16:37.24; 76. Jacque Medina, 16:48.96. “The girls ran their best times of the year. The boys ran better there than we did a year ago. This was the toughest meet we’ve been to and it was good for us,” said Coach Jeff Shelton.
