BIG LAKE - The JV Lions got their second win of the season, 49-0, over the Reagan County Owls on Sept. 12. Matthew De La Garza scored multiple times for the Lions, along with Logan Fay. Steady play by Max Everett and good blocking by the offensive line allowed the Lions to march up and down the field with the ball most of the night. The Lions’ defence forced five turnovers including interceptions by Logan Fay and Juan Vega. The defensive line as a whole played well with several tackles for a loss by Levi Montgomery. Eddie Rios and Logan Thompson both recorded multiple sacks and big plays for a loss in the Owls backfield. The JV Lions (2-1) will face Comfort at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Lion Stadium.
