Lions win Spring Creek Invitational

LIONS WIN SPRING CREEK INVITATIONAL

The OHS Cross-Country Teams competed in the Spring Creek Invitational on Sept. 18 at Mertzon. The Lions won the meet. Team Standings: 1. Ozona; 2. Ballinger; 3. Lake View; 4. Paint Rock; 5. Sonora; 6. Imperial Buena Vista; 7. Miles; 8. Irion County; 9. Sterling City; 10. Reagan County; 11. Wink. Humberto Torralba was second with a time of 19 minutes, 19.94 seconds. Manuel Torralba was third at 19:20.80. Also running for the Lions: 17. Bryce Gray, 20:54.70; 20. Jason Lopez, 21:25.41; 24. Adam Hopper, 21:35.97; 30. Cameron Perez, 22:02.65. 31. Melvyn Mejia, 22:04.03; 37. Julian Dominguez, 22:40.82; 38. Daniel Hernandez, 22:45.27. Hermin Villegas was third in the JV Division at 15:21.33 and Arturo Guerra was fourth at 15:21.33. The Lady Lions placed sixth as a team. Team Standings: 1. Imperial Buena Vista; 2. Wink; 3. Ballinger; 4. Lake View; 5. Eldorado; 6. Ozona; 7. Sonora; 8. Reagan County; 9. Sterling City; 10. Paint Rock; 11. Grape Creek; 12. Veribest. Kenzee Talamantez was sixth at 14:50.61. Also running for the Lady Lions: 24. Ysabella Flores, 16:34.31; 29. Krysten Webb, 17:17.44; 65. Alondra Hernandez, 19:09.47; 67. Charli Oglesby, 19:18.32; 70. Jacque Medina, 19:44.55. The OHS Teams will compete Saturday at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.
