The Eighth Grade Lions, led by Dusty Smith’s throwing and running the football, scored 40 points against the Harper Longhorns for the 40-6 win. Matthew Daniels, Rigo Treto, Chris Ramirez and Dusty Smith scored for the Lions. The defense put in a stellar night as well. The offensive line led by Tad Reynolds, Nick Ramon, Seth Childress, Noah Veirs, Bernardo Blanco, Frank Ozuna and Robert Barrera provided many running lanes for the backs. Ozuna had a fumble recovery and Treto had a few sacks. Tad Reynolds made some important tackles and Blanco had a strip sack/fumble return for about 50 yards. An excellent performance by all on this Thursday evening in Harper. The Eighth Grade Lions will play Junction at 6:15 p.m. Thursday at Lion Stadium.
