The Ozona Lions posted a first-round shutout over Alvord on Friday at Abilene Wylie's Bulldog Stadium. It was Ozona's first playoff win since 2012. The Lions improved to 8-3 and advanced to play No. 6-ranked Post (11-0) next week in the area round of the Class 2A Division I bracket at 7 p.m. Friday in Stanton. Alvord's season ended at 5-6.
