JV LIONS BEAT REAGAN COUNTY 8-0

The young JV Lions were able to get on the left side of the column after a win against Reagan County on September 10th. The game was sloppy due to the weather and the team that made the least amount of mistakes came out victorious. The Lions were able to get on the scoreboard after a 42 yard run by Matthew Daniels after he recovered his own fumbled snap and scampered down the field to the endzone. A wet ball lead to multiple turnovers on both ends but the Lions defense stepped up and prevented the Owls from ever getting started. Defensively, Bernie Blanco and Robert Barrera wreaked havoc in the backfield all game and contributed to a safety. The game’s final score was 8-0 and the JV record is now 1-2. They play next week at the Mustang Bowl in Sweetwater at 5:30.
