EXCITING WIN OVER BRADY BULLDOGS

This was a huge win for us as we head into district play. We had been telling our kids this was going to be a battle all week long. Brady has a good football team and we knew it was going to be a close hard fought game. We're extremely proud of the way our kids continue to fight for four quarters, they're not going to give up on us. We got behind by two touchdowns early in the game; made some quick adjustments defensively and shut them out the rest of the game. We were able to move the ball up and down the field offensively; we had some mistakes early that kept us from getting points on the board however. We had a three-headed monster backfield this week that helped us in our ground game. Our Lions made big plays in key moments throughout the game as well. Overall huge team win for us. We start district play with Johnson City this week and we have a lot of positive momentum going into this game. Our kids are confident, they believe in what we're doing, and they trust each other out on the field. This will be a key matchup as both us and Johnson City are picked as runner-ups to Mason. Johnson City moved down from class 3A last year so they'll be a tough opponent; we look forward to the challenge. D-line MVP--Manny Venegas, 12 tackles, 2 TFL, 3 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 3 QB hits, 4 QB pressures. LB MVP--Jose Dominguez, 8 tackles. Secondary MVP--Jose Munoz, 1 INT in a very key moment of the game. O-line MVP--Aaron Martinez, graded out the highest Backfield MVP--Matthew DeLaGarza, 12 carries for 75 yards. WR MVP--Jesse Vega, led the team in outstanding blocks. Special Teams MVP--Marco Rodriguez, great punts that were unreturnable.
