JV LIONS PREVAIL OVER BRADY

The JV Lions showed up and played a hard fought game that had them prevailing as the final horn blew. This was the first home game for the road warrior JV team and a great win. The team was lead on both sides of the ball by Dusty Smith who returned to the Lions for his first game of the year. Smith opened the game with a 40 yard touchdown run on 1st down. From there, the team had confidence that helped them to never look back. A 43 yard interception return for touchdown by Chris Ramirez in the following drive boosted the Lions confidence going into halftime. Ramirez scored his 2nd touchdown of the game to put the Lions up 18-6. Lions shut down the Brady offense and stepped up on multiple 4 down stops that killed any momentum the Bulldogs were building up. A late 4th quarter interception by Bernie “Sanders” Blanco halted any chance of a comeback and the final score was 18-6. The young team is now 2-2 on the season.
