It was great to get a win to start district play. We came out a little rusty on offense, which was expected after the long break due to the Johnson City cancellation. We had kids make some incredible plays, like Joe Perez's amazing hurdle run for a touchdown, that allowed us to put points on the board. Our defense was outstanding Friday night. We gave up a total of 7 yards for the entire game; just an incredible performance by our Lions on the defensive side of the ball. Brackett will be a completely different team next week as far as what they run offensively compared to Center Point. They'll try to spread the ball around the field a bit more with a balanced passing and run game. We're excited to get to play at home once again; it's been over a month since we last played in Ozona.
