The 7th grade Ozona Lions took a devastating loss to the Junction Eagles falling to a score of 24-0. The Lions began the game on offense where they could not get anything going. The Lions struggled to get and gather a good snap which led to three turnovers on downs in the first half of the game. The Junction Eagles scored on their first possession of the game with a 25 yard pass into the end zone. That was only the beginning. They would go on to score 2 more times, one of those being on a Hook and Ladder trick play. The lions were down 24-0 at half but that did not stop them. They showed up in the second half and fought their way to the end. The lions were able to come up with a stop on the eagles first possession of the second half. On offense they drove the ball 35 yards before losing it on a fumble. The very next play, Graciano Garcia came back with an interception (his second of the game) for the lions to give them the ball back. This drive was halted after a failed 4th down conversion attempt. The 7th Grade Lions move to 4-2 on the season as they face the Harper Longhorns at Home next week.
