The 7th grade lost a tough game this year in the final moments but not on this night. The Lion offense pushed the ball across the goal line with less than a minute left in the game to secure the victory. The Lion offense played catch up football most of the game, but after a critical defensive fumble recovery, the Lion offense began their march to secure the victory. There were great runs by Villarreal, Tino Castillo, and passes caught by Castillo and Chris Partitda that put the offense in position to win the game. With a third and goal from the two yard line, Villarreal punched the ball in to take the decisive 16-6 lead with 45 seconds left in the game. The defense made another quality 4th down stop that allowed the offense to end the game with the victory formation with 8 seconds left. The 7th grade will play their last game of the year vs. Rocksprings on Nov. 5th at 5:30 pm while the 8th grade will play Johnson City Eagles on Nov. 5th at 4:30 as their last game.
