OMS 8TH BOYS LOSE TOUGH GAME TO MASON

The Lions have played three quality opponents in a row, and on this night the opponent proved to be very formidable. The score ended 54-28, but in the third quarter the score was 34-28 Mason. The passing of Hudson Fowler to Michael Daniels, Kurt Bean, and Andres Quiroz kept the Lions close, but time ran out. The Cowpunchers returned two kickoffs after the Lions scored a touchdown which was a brutal pill to swallow. The Lions were not able to pull out the victory; and in defeat, the Lions have learned that to be good—one must be his best each and every day. We as middle school coaches stress to our players, “I know that what you are doing right now is important to each one of you—but keep this thought in mind as well, We have to tackle, block, catch, run, and most of all compete in Middle School because the ultimate goal is to play for district championships like the Ozona Lion varsity is playing forward tomorrow night.” The Lions will host the Johnson City Eagles on November 5 at 4:30 for their last game as middle school players. Please come out and support these young Lions!!!!!
