The 8th Grade Lions dominated their 3rd opponent in a row as they handed JC a 38-6 loss. To prevent the score from getting overly lopsided, the clock operators kept the time rolling the entire 2nd half for the 3rd week in a row. The young Lions exercised their ability to throw and run the ball early against the Eagles as Trey Preddy, Christian Villarreal ran and passed for a combined 4 touchdowns. Preddy also connected with Andres for a 60 yard touchdown. The Lions defense stayed stern, and held off all attempts the eagles had early and were able to dominate the Eagles for most of the game. Villarreal carried the ball for 6 times, turning 3 of the rushes into touchdowns. Preddy completed 2 passes for 2 touchdowns in the game. Jacoby Ramos, JP Garza, DJ Esparza , Villarreal and Andres played furiously on defense. The only touchdown that Johnson City was able to reel off came late in the game.
