OZONA LIONS VARSITY LOSES LEAD EARLY IN DEFEAT
Ozona Lions Varsity fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 12-1 loss to Colorado City on Friday.
Colorado scored on a stolen base and a double by #5 in the first inning.
The Ozona Lions Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Colorado, giving up 12 runs.
Ozona Lions Varsity got things started in the first inning when Michael Luna grounded out, scoring one run.
Luna led things off on the hill for Ozona Lions Varsity. The hurler surrendered eight runs on seven hits over two innings, striking out one. Lane Smith threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Smith went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Ozona Lions Varsity in hits. Ozona Lions Varsity stole seven bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Daniels Michael led the way with two.
